Protekal recipes  
 

Patients often ask questions about the ideas how to prepare food with Protekal sachets. We have written some tips and recipes that our creative patients shared with us.
For lunch and dinner you can combine vegetables of group A and B with Protekal products (bearing in mind the allowed quantity) . If you have some vegetables left you can use it to make salad or side-dish.


Soups and cream-soups

  • Cauliflower soup - Boil 200ml of water. Add 50g of cauliflower and/or broccoli and cook until it is done. Wait for it to cool down and than add contents from the Protekal vegetable soup sachet. Mix well. Add garlic powder as needed.
  • Zucchini soup - In 200 ml of boiled water add 50g of chopped zucchini After it cools down add contents from Protekal vegetable soup. Mix well.
  • Green beans soup - In 200 ml of boiled water add 50g of green beans . After it cools down add contents from Protekal vegetable soup. Mix well.
  • Spinach soup - In 200 ml of boiled water add 50g of spinach . After it cools down add contents from Protekal vegetable soup. Mix well.
  • Vegetable soup - In 400 ml of water boil dried onion, 50g paprika (bell or sweet pepper) and 50g tomato.You can use dried parsley,pepper and salt as needed. Remember that this soup does not contain Protekal sachet therefore you must eat it separately! If the Protekal soup is too thick you can add the vegetable soup already made but first wait for it to cool down. 
  • Dumpling soup - Cook the allowed amount of cauliflower and broccoli. At the very end of cooking add the contents of Protekal chicken croquettes sachet in the form of dumplings and cook some more.
  • Salsa sauce - Use cream-soup as salsa sauce by mixing the contents of the Protekal sachet with 100ml of water in shaker. Seperately cook vegetables. Pour the salsa sauce over cooked vegetables.

   

Omlette
Pour indicated amount of water in the shaker. Add the contents of the bag and shake until homogenized. Grease the pan ( teflon or ceramic so it doesn’t get pasted ) with a few drops of extra-virgin olive oil ( bear in mind the maximum daily quantity allowed ) and bake. Add spices as needed.
  • Vegetable souffle – Pour few drops od olive oil in the pan. Add chopped mushrooms,spinach,green peppers, 50g each. Also add garlic powder and dried onion. Pour water and simmer until it boils. Mix Protekal omlette bacon sachet with indicated amount of water and mix it with vegetables. Pour the mixture in the deep baking dish and bake in the microwave until it’s done.
  • Omlette with zucchini and peppers - Pour few drops of extra-virgin olive oil in teflon pan. Fry 50g of zucchini and 100g of green peppers. Add Protekal with fine herbs. Serve with green salad.
  • Spinach, pepper and mushroom omlette – Cook 150g of chopped spinach. Fry 50g of green peppers cut in cubes in oil-free Teflon. Fry 100g of mushrooms cut into slices in a Teflon pan with few drops of olive oil. Mix all and add spices. Pour the mixture into pan and when it is well heated add the prepared Protekal omlette mixed in shaker. Fry until omlette is done.
  • Szataras with Protekal omelette – Cook dried onion in a small amount of water and few drops of olive oil. Add chopped green and cook some more. Add more water when needed. Add 50g of tomatoes and spices (salt,pepper green pepper) . You may add some chili peppers. Cook some more. Add Protekal omlette, stir and fry some more.
  • Muffins with spinach, peppers and broccoli – Mix Protekal omlette with fine herbs in shaker. Add spices ( parsley,oregano,garlic,etc.) . Separately make mixture with spinach,broccoli and green or sweet peppers. Fry vegetable mixture on few drops of extra-virgin olive oil for few seconds. Afterward mix vegetables with Protekal omlette and pour the pasty mixture in the silicone molds. Bake in microwave 2-3 minutes.
  • Omelette with spinach and peppers – Mix Protekal omlette in shaker with indicated amount of water. Pour few drops of olive oil on heated frying pan and pour the prepared Protekal omlette paste. Spread it on the frying pan as pancake.
  • Dock plant moussaka – Cook 250-300g of cabbage or spinach and put it in the baking pan. Separately cook onion and 50g of mushrooms in some water and olive oil. Add spices (salt,pepper and garlic powder ). Spread this over the dock plant or spinach that is in the baking pan. Pour Protekal omlette pasty mixture over the vegetables in the baking pan and bake until is done.

Chicken croquettes
Pour indicated amount of water in shaker. Add Protekal sachet content and mix well until homgenized. Use the mixture to make samll hamburgers.
  • Chicken croquettes with spinach – Cook 50g of chopped spinach. Drain the spinach and add Protekal chicken croquette pasty mixture. Bake for 15min. Separately prepare salad out of 150g of cucamber and 100g of fresh green pepper. Add spices as needed.
  • Dumpling soup - Cook the allowed amount of cauliflower and broccoli. At the very end of cooking add the contents of Protekal chicken croquettes sachet in the form of dumplongs and cook some more.

Protekal BREAD

  • Protein salty biscuits and muffins – Make Protekal bread with little more water than indicated. Add salt and dried spices (onion,garlic,oregano). Make buiscits and bake in baking pan. Muffins – Use the silicon mold for muffins. You may put the baking muffin paper underneath each muffin.
  • Protein salty sticks – Pour 40ml of water to the shaker. Dissolve 1-2 tea spoons of Dijon Mustard with a little salt. When the mustard is dissolved add contents from the Protein bread sachet and stir well. Put the baking paper onto the baking pan . Make little dough sticks and place them on the baking paper. You may add some salt on the top. Bake in the oven or microwave.
  • Green beans soup - In 200 ml of boiled water add 50g of green beans . After it cools down add contents from Protekal vegetable soup. Mix well.
  • Mushroom-curry roll – Mix 40ml of water with contents from Protekal bread. Grease the microwave pan and then spread the prepared protein mass into it. Bake in microwave for 1/2 a minut. Separately cook, with few drops of olive oil ,some garlic and parsley, 50g of sliced mushrooms in the frying pan. Add tomato cut to cubes and curry. Cook some more and than spread the mass over the baked bread and roll it.
  • Protekal bread with spinach – Cook 50g of chopped spinach. Drain it and add prepared Protekal bread mixture. Bake for 20min. Grill 250 grams of green pepper. Add few drops of olive oil,some vinegar,garlic,parsley and eat it with baked Protekal bread.
  • Choco biscuit - Dissolve 2 tablets of aspartam in 80-90ml of water. Add contents from Protekal cacao sachet and mix. After it dissolves add the contents from Protekal bread sachet and mix well. You should get a thick mass. Grease the muffin silicon mold and pour the mass in it. Bake in the hot oven on 200 C for 20 min. Warning : You may eat only 2 muffins per meal because they are made of two protein sachets.
Potato puree (Mashed potatoes)
  • Roasted potato puree – Cook onion with few drops of olive oil. Add some cayenne pepper. Stir. Add prepared Protekal potato puree. Stir well.
  • Potato puree with spinach – Cook 200 g of chopped spinach and mangold. Add spices as needed : salt,pepper,garlic,thyme. Fry 100g of sliced mushrooms. Pour half a spoon of olive oil over mushrooms and mix with spinach. Prepare Protekal potato puree and add to spinach and mushroom mix.

    

Sweets

  • Choco biscuit - Dissolve 2 tablets of aspartam in 80-90ml of water. Add contents from Protekal cacao sachet and mix. After it dissolves add the contents from Protekal bread sachet and mix well. You should get a thick mass. Grease the muffin silicon mold and pour the mass in it. Bake in the hot oven on 200 C for 20 min. Warning : You may eat only 2 muffins per meal because they are made of two protein sachets.
  • Suggestion - Use mixer to make pudding. You will get a nice mousse.
